Does anyone else prefer autumn/winter to summer/spring

I like So Cal winter and spring. Autumns can be quite warm, but what's worse is they bring the hot, dry winds (Santa Anas) that dramatically increase fire danger.

This summer hasn't been beastly in So Cal (Nor Cal has been hit hard with high temps though). However, it's still mid-July so who knows what the next two months may bring.

I used to love the sun when I was much younger but now too much sun makes me irritable and anxious. And I did not realize how much the sun/heat adversely affects me. I only realized this when I was on my tablet and accidently put on a game app that featured rain sounds right at the beginning. The sound of rain on my tablet (with my earplugs in) just totally calmed me down. I was just amazed how just the sound of rain calmed me down! I'm counting the days until the sunset is at 7 pm instead of 10 pm now. Anyone else feel like that?

Sort of. I love fall/winter/spring. The rains when they start, often in winter where I am. Then plants perking up in winter and even more so into spring until it all goes too far in summer.

I love the sound of raindrops and like you feel it's calming, sometimes even exciting. Sitting with it thundering down on conservatory roofs or on a skylight - love it.
Hate being in it though, hate the damp air that hangs around and makes the house feel damp in the air, it feels chilly.

Don't like Autumn much simply because I'm so allergic to mould spores in rotting leaves and elsewhere.
Although I do love the changing colours of Autumn on the leaves of trees before they drop off and used to love conker hunting with daughter.

I adore winter - those lovely cold frosty days with a perfect blue sky and sunshine. That smell of clean, cold fresh air. Snow too I love especially if deep and crisp and icicles hang down gutters and washing lines and glint in the sunshine. Nestling down in the evenings with the heating on, all cosy and warm.

Summer is ok, but I can't take the sunshine now, I have to limit how much time I'm in it, even turning a line of washing over burns the back of my neck and shoulders. Can't even enjoy a nice walk any more in the sunshine. :(

Spring's ok - spotting the first signs of growth poking through... but still mould spores are around.

Edited to add, in summer as well as limiting walking, it also limits tending the garden, a favourite of mine, because the yellow thing is there all day. Which gets another :(

We had a glass top on our dinner table in the Dining room when I was a little boy.

Mom would get me to pick colorful leaves from the yard, and she'd place them under the glass for Thanksgiving Dinner. It really made for a homey and special ambiance. :)
I like that.

With winter that can start at the beginning of November and end almost at the beginning of May, NO! But last winter was pretty nice with virtually no snow and warmer temps - got some nice ice fishing in. Fall is nice, but it only lasts a little over a month, same with Spring. I like the long days of summer too. One of the few plusses of winter for me is the cold that makes for good sleeping - I like a room at about 60F. Our summers, once we get them, are quite nice.
