Does anyone have a Ninja Creami ?

I totally love my Ninja Creami, too, @katlupe , and i am also an ice cream addict. It was my mom’s go-to food whenever someone needed cheering up, and we had a small neighborhood grocery store, so there was always lots of ice cream in the freezer.

I have been doing my best to maintain my health, and with reading so many different things, I have been all the way from vegan to carnivore, trying to find what works for me.
I am following some of the health people on X (Twitter), that do the keto and carnivore WOE.
I looked at the Keto Chow, but it is over $6 for one serving on Amazon. Is there someplace cheaper to buy it ?
Since I make it for myself and my husband, I have been making our ice cream with cottage cheese, whey protein powder, some SF pudding, and milk.
It is not totally keto, for sure, but not like store ice cream either.

I want to go back to intermittant fasting again, and use the Creami for one of my meals, and then a protein/collagen meal for the other meal, similar to what you wrote in your diary, Katlupe. I have been reading back through that to learn more and try to pick up more tips from there about how you follow your eating plan so well.

It is cheaper on their website, $5.50 a package. Shipping is free if you spend $100. which is what I do. I also use the discount link on 2 Krazy Ketos YouTube channel (in their description box all the time). Another way to get it cheaper is to order one of their subscription boxes or to buy the large bags. I like the individual packages so have a variety.

Keto Chow

Are you on facebook? They have a group page which is Keto Chow Facebook Support. People share recipes because you can do more than shakes or ice cream with it. Chris and Miriam answer questions there and as do other long time users.

I am basically using carnivore as an elimination diet. So mainly just meat and a few other things that have added back in so far. The Keto Chow has been the one thing that helped me more than anything to stick to this way of eating. I want to improve my health and it is helping so even though it is not carnivore I feel it is good for me.

Is Keto Chow too expensive?

Thank you for all the wonderful information, @katlupe ! I am on facebook, and just now signed up and application pending. I will look into the website and see about making an order from there.
I have enough Creami containers that i can make separate Creami‘s for myself and my husband. In the meantime, even just the low carb ones are much better than having regular ice cream, and there are lots of keto videos on YT for the creami that I have not tried.

With this being the Christmas season, and my daughter being home for the first time in several years, I am not going to make any drastic food changes until after the holidays, but I have been thinking that doing carnivore for a while might help me get back into the keto and IF again.
The difference between Keto Chow and regular whey protein is added vitamins and minerals, is that right ? I already take supplements , but having a meal with everything in it would still be beneficial.

I believe you are correct on the difference. Keto Chow gives you a third of your daily nutrients so it counts as a meal. The Creami was the game changer for me. I love it and if mine ever broke I would be ordering a new one immediately. Getting ready to make pumpkin ice cream right now.

When you make the keto chow shakes for ice cream, what do you add besides the keto chow , @katlupe ? I have been making ours with ff cottage cheese (1/2 cup), scoop of protein powder, either sf pudding or jello for flavoring (or raw cocoa), and then either regular milk or Fage yogurt for the rest of the 16 oz needed for the creami.
For mine, I use an Atkins or other liquid protein meal drink instead of the regular milk, but i just got some Fairlife milk, so I might use that also.
I am mixing the Fairlife with a vanilla protein drink and using that for my coffee creamer, and that seems to be working good for me so far.

I always do it the same way. I just made some today and it is in the freezer.

I put in the blender:
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 cup hot water
Blend it. Then add while it is blending:
1.5 cups of regular temperature water
1 pkt. Keto Chow
1 tsp. beef gelatin (for stomach issues)
A little extra sweetener (whatever you like) because it loses some of the sweetness in the freezer.
pinch of Tara Gum (makes it creamier)
Blend real good and pour into your containers.
I store in the freezer because I do not drink it as a shake.

Some flavors I change by adding various spices or extracts. Like cookies & cream, eggnog & vanilla I add extracts to make a different flavor. Or with salted caramel I add pumpkin spice because I love pumpkin ice cream more than salted caramel. And many times they are sold out of the pumpkin flavor. Lemon Meringue I usually add 2 packets of True Lemon (they are teeny tiny packets).

I wanted to add the reason I use the hot water with the melted butter and blend it is to make sure the butter does not become solid in the shake or ice cream. You do not want chunks of butter in the ice cream. If you blend it with a blender like that it will not become solid when cold. Even Chris (Bair, owner of KC) does it that way.
