Does anyone have good news to report?

What a great story, anyone reading this take note. Don't ignore signs that might seem obvious or trivial. If, when you pass a motion, there is a trace of blood, chances are you have haemorrhoids, they are extremely uncomfortable but not life threatening. There again, the symptom may not prove to be haemorrhoids, bowel cancer produces a similar symptom, get it checked out. As the poster says: Don't Die of Embarrassment, I can't repeat it enough, get it checked out.

I have read that bleeding from hemorrhoids is usually red. Anything from farther inside is darker in color.

Glad you think so HC. You're right about getting symptoms checked. I had a cousin, who was like a big sister to me. I was taking her somewhere and she told me she had blood in her stool. I convinced her to see a doctor. She got tested and turns out she had colon cancer. She started chemo and lasted a few years, but it was painful to watch her decline. She had moved to the southern part of the U.S. and my husband and I went down and stayed with her whenever we could. I had another cousin, who was actually her niece, who also died from colon cancer.
