Does anyone have or remember this kitchen gadget?

I'm not sure when this first came out,The TaterTwister. My Mom gave it to me as a Christmas gift, maybe in the late 80's or early 90's. The thread about the spiralizer reminded me of it. I really don't use it that much but it does make very good scalloped potatoes. Not to hard to clean up either. I suppose today a food processor would do a quicker job but it brings back memories of Christmas when my Mom and Dad were still here. tater twister box (800x600).jpgscalloped potatoes (800x600).jpg

I'd love to have half my money back for the highly specialized gadgets I bought that I used once or twice and then shoved to the back of the pantry, never to be seen again until the next garage sale.

RVing taught me that if an item didn't have three or four different uses, it didn't come along.

I think I do remember the Tater Twister but I nver had one.

I was crazy for my bread maker for about a year when the prices started going down. Made rye, raisin and French bread too. Nothing smells so good in the kitchen. But after awhile, the loaves were coming out a bit lopsided. I think the heating element was dying, so that was the end of it.

How about this for $3500.00 , ;) chefstack-stretched-thumb-960x640-6289.jpg
