Does anyone here live in Foley, Alabama

I never lived there but we spent quite a bit of time in Foley. I like the city for its vibe and its people (quiet, southern small town atmosphere). It is very convenient for shopping. Housing is quite affordable and diverse, and it is close to the beaches as well.
The city is prone to hurricane and floods, that is a real concern for us.
If you go to Foley, you must eat at "Lambert's Cafe". (Old fashioned southern food and the "home of throwed rolls")

I'm trying to find out more about this town from people with boots on the ground.

Then, there's maps, virtual drive through of places, railroad history museum.

Foley is a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. The 2010 census lists the population of the city as 14,618.[2] Foley is a principal city of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metropolitan area, which includes all of Baldwin County.

If it wasn't for the crushing temps in summer, I'd consider it.

(Just perused the history) the town namesake bought 50K acres and donated a lot of them to various improvements. School, library railroad office (now the museum)

What one man could do.....incredible.
