Does anyone here use Instacart?

I don't know whether I've made mistakes, or whether there's a "glitch" on their website.
Hoping for info/input..

This problem occurred a couple of times in the past..

I ordered through Instacart twice within the last couple of weeks. The first instance was fine, the second wasn't:

When preparing to place order, site says 'suggested tip $2.' That seems cheap, so I always increase it.
In the first instance, after order was delivered, I received a text thanking me for the extra tip.
In the second instance, I didn't receive a text, and no additional receipt by email. I contacted their Live Chat, and the guy didn't know what was going on.

In the first case, the amount I stated for increased tip was amount I was charged for the tip.
In the second case, though, after I changed the amount I was charged for the initial amount PLUS the higher amount. My bank also shows this.

I guess it comes to this question: if the mistake is on my end, was it a matter of when I increased the tip, did I click the wrong button, or some other explanation?

(I don't know how to do screen shots, and wouldn't be able to get to any more info without placing an order)

Sometimes the shopping apps or sites have technical issues and things just go wrong. I find it have more issues with the websites than the apps.

You can look up how to do screen shots. I would take one before you place the order. They should've refunded you.

I started using it back when I had my hip replacement surgery a few years back. Could not drive for a couple weeks, and could not lift a lot. Never had an issue with tip. I would always add extra since they would carry stuff up to my apartment for me and put it where I could reach.
Got rid of it for a while, but recently restarted it. I order once a month or so. Just put in one today

Yes, I do. I get Aldi's delivered. I've done it for several years. I had a lot of mistakes in the beginning. Then the shoppers did better for a long time. I rarely have any problems now.

I used Insta some years back and I loved it. I used it as I was not a Wmart fan and I could get Aldi through it and Aldi did not hike their prices on delivery apps. It went very well.

Then one year I went to renew my membership and they double charged me. I spent way too much time trying to get it straightened out and they eventually refunded like 1/3 of what they owed me and I gave up and I quit using them. It was a shame as the delivery people and service I'd had not much trouble with.

These days I use Wmart delivery and pay for their annual pass but still NOT a Wmart fan. I really pick and choose... I'm not a fan of their meat or their produce.

But I was in a spot for a time where I could not go out and get groceries and it did save me...

I did like Instacart until I felt they screwed me over and try reaching anyone who will truly fix the problem. At least that is how I felt. Prior to that I was even recommending them to people everywhere.
