Does everything happen in their appointed time and space

Humanity's wishes are only for the self. Each prays for hisown happiness, not for all mankind.
I would be a lier to say I'm all about me, for that is not my nature. The greatest privilege of all is love and the discipline of understanding.

I beg to differ, not everyone is totally about themselves. Love is great enough to embrace us all. If you believe it true.
That's a wonderful thought. Most humans perform thoughts, words and actions using the lower mind functions.
What an amazing world it would be if we all embraced love, but Earth is a lowly world.
The quality of thought in all the world must be changed for the world to be submerged in love.

IMO

When I was a kid, we were raised Catholic. My mother had us kneel down and say our prayers before bed. She always had us pray for humanity as well as various relatives and friends of the family. Though all of us kids moved on from the religion we were raised with, most of us retained a concern for others through volunteer work and in general helping others around us where needed. It is just how we were raised. My mother was very active in helping others in a variety of ways and she set the tone for us in our own lives.

Fortunately, there are many people who do have concern for others. There are those who don't, but there are those who do. I have met many good people through volunteer work.

Oh NO, NO, NO! Moments of life are to be treasured. There is a higher and more blessed you than you show to the world. Be this higher self. Embrace your life and find joy in it. Each incarnation brings us closer to God and evolves us into higher perfection.

May I quote something from the Guru Dev?
"To get a human body is a rare thing. Make the most of it. There are four million kinds of lives a soul can gather. After that,a soul gets a chance to be human, to get a human body. Therefore,one should not waste this chance. Every second in human life is very valuable. If you don't value this, then you will have nothing in hand and you will weep in the end.
Because you are human, God has given you the power to think and decide what is good and bad. Therefore, you can do the best possible kind of action. You should never consider yourself weak or a fallen creature.

Whatever might have happened up to now may be because you didn't know, but now be careful. After getting a human body, if you don't reach God, you have sold a diamond at the price of spinach."

Mr.Ed, I didn't mean to take over your thread. I needed to tell her that.

“Embrace your life and find joy in it. Each incarnation brings us closer to God and evolves us into higher perfection"

You are assuming everyone believes in “re-incarnation”. Personally, I do not. My belief is, once life has left the physical body the soul continues its journey. We may not all have the same journey and I would be extremely sceptical if anyone tells me they know anything about the destination.

One of the best threads I have read since joining Mr Ed. Some great thoughts and I respect your honesty about yourself. You appear to have done a lot of searching and athough like the rest of us, you may not have found the answers, what you have unearthed has given you a certain peace of mind.

I believe there is a plan, not only for humans, but for everything on earth, even the grains of sand on the beach. Having said that, it does not mean we rest on our haunches and expect it all to happen. We have to make the effort, we have to go through the trials, make our mistakes and then learn from them. That (as far as my belief goes) sets us up for our future journey into the unknown.

I am responsible for how I conduct myself in life. Therefore, I love without measure to all I choose. It takes one person to change life and influence the world
On a biblical note;

Genesis 1:26

New International Version

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Did a poster on this very thing (living in the mountains for the last five years showed me some things);

I don't think anyone knows for certain, as it is all speculation.

I guess you're thinking is more along the lines of chaos theory? IMO (Pepper) there is just too much order to dismiss it as chaos or happenchance. However, could chaos eventually become order?

Great discussion Mr. Ed

I don't know enough about chaos theory to comment on that. However I have seen some reports of studies which have shown that there is a tendency towards the creation of life related molecules (amino acids, etc...) in environments similar to what we believe the earth to have had based on what we know about that time period. I don't have any references to such studies, I just know they exist.

A good deed is not a good deed when it's not from the heart.
I never understood this more then the trend of people/ companies making such public displays of getting "credit" for whatever they believe is a good deed.

taking pictures or posting signs to say look at me .... screams fake care about any cause.

Have you ever been on an engineering project during the typical crunch time near the scheduled (not necessarily real) end of the project. There is a perfect demonstration of a mild form of chaos theory. It swallows up evenings and weekends, as well as common sense. :)

There are many interesting theories, some of which may eventually be proven enough to remain a strong hypothesis years down the road, while others fall by the wayside.

My observation in forums is that references to something as complex as chaos theory are generally casual references with little knowledge on the part of the person making the reference, and the reference is intended to be taken in a sort of colloquial interpretation as in "you know what I mean", rather than a literal translation (at least I hope that is all it is...). :unsure:

Your belief is yours. We are all on a path of growth. I have no desire to change your vision.
Well, my words stand as written. i don't believe. I KNOW!

If you really "know" - you would not have to holler o_O No one "knows" anything. We are all seekers.
