Does it bother you if clerks automatically give you the senior discount?

Heck no, and I even ask for it when I am not quite eligible for it. example: I am 61 and the discount is 65 I ask, I own up to being younger if challenged, but I don't think I have ever been refused.

I would love to get the discount automatically it wouldn't bother me at all but so far I always have to ask first

No, but one day a friend and I pretended to be shocked when our waitress told us we'd be getting a senior discount for our lunch; we asked "Oh, and what made you think we are seniors"? or something like that- the poor girl's face fell until we laughed and said we were joking and apologized, too.

It only happened to me once, and I was very pleased. He didn't automatically give it but he asked for the OK from me. I wish they all would, hard to keep up with what stores give discounts either always or certain days. I don't have a smartphone, but it seems like it would be a good idea for seniors to have an app for that, so you can check on wherever you plan to go that day, including movie theaters, state parks, etc.

I hate when they ask if I get the senior discount! Well, just look at me....what would you think? But on the other side, I bet some cashiers have been "bashed" from people that look older than they really are. They are just doing their job. I have a hard time judging people's age. It does not bother me.

I've never been ask if I wanted the 'old fart discount' nor have I ever ask for it.....being 67 maybe I should start.
