I remember being in a conversation with a workmate who had overheard (and was sharing) what some colleagues' opinions of us were. She asked me if I wanted to know what they thought of me. I didn't, but she proceeded to tell me anyway. She told me they thought I was 'nice'. Somehow she managed to make 'nice' sound like an insult. I'd take a guess that she didn't like me much. Did I care? Couldn't give a toss. But I still remember it, hmm.
