Does Your Nickname On The Forum Have Special Meaning?

I used to sponsor a Romanian girl, after the orphanages were opened up. Her name was Lavinia. She eventually got a job and somewhere to live and I lost touch with her. I have often wondered what happened to her.

Ike is what I've actually been called by everyone ever since I can remember......sort of short for my last name I guess.

We have not done this in a long time and have many new members. So how did you pick your nickname?

Mine is Lee, it really is my first name and there are times I wish I had chosen a cooler nickname....sigh

What about you.
Hello, Lee

There’s a particularly lovely, sentimental scene, in the film, “On Golden Pond,” that literally sweeps me off my feet, involving Peter Fonda, and Katherine Hepburn.

Henry Fonda’s character has just sustained a traumatic episode of memory lapse.

Recovering from distraught, disoriented feeling, delivered by cognitive impairment, he’s tenderly, lovingly, soothed and supported by Kathrine Hepburn who plays opposite him, as his wife.

After she gently quells and calms his mood, she asserts, and refers to him, as her “knight in shining armor.”

He in return rallies, embraces her, by warmly saying, “You’re a pretty, old dame.”
