Doesn't anyone like Little Debbie Snacks?

Little Debbie's (LD) are known for being too sweet, but I was surprised that the sugar content is less than I expected. I bought a box of LD snack cakes with vanilla icing about two months ago because they were on sale. It took me a long time to eat them because they were just okay, not good enough that I would consider buying them again. I wound iup taking most of the icing off. I looked at the cakes you posted a picture of (they were son sale too), but I don't like sprinkles, so passed on that box.

We've been trying to figure out which single junk food we can't live without and after I realized ice cream doesn't taste like anything but cold to me these days, and the men don't like pies and cakes as much as I like to bake them, we've settled on cookies. There are several brands of cookies that are vegan (no milk or eggs) that my son can eat, so I keep them in the house. That way we won't feel completely deprived.
People like my simple 4-ingredient peanut butter cookies, though.
Those are delicious! My husband's favorite thing is Rice Krispy treats, the way I make them with twice the butter and one cup less Rice Krispies.
Honestly! All the time consuming elaborate meals I've made for him in the past 44 years and they're the only thing he really raves about.

I remember buying Little Debbie snacks for my daughter, and back then I'm sure I had one now and then. Seems like the ones I bought had a white frosting with black stripes, and white cake inside. I still see Little Debbie products at Walmart even now; I just haven't thought of buying them for myself.

To answer your question-

Sure, they're a sweet treat most definitely. I've maybe had them a 1/2 dozen times in my life though, last time probably over 20 years ago.

About 4 years ago as I was driving to the location where we conducted fitness classes I had a vivid mental image come into my thought stream about a big, fat Hostess chocolate cupcake. When I arrived I told my business partner about the "vision" I had, she told me that her husband had eaten a big fat chocolate Hostess cupcake just a while earlier. Talk about channeling...!

Someone mentioned a Carrot Cake Cookie recently. It has been on my mind since......šŸŖšŸ¤”

I haven’t had one for years but I do miss them sometimes. My favorites were Swiss Cake rolls but oatmeal cakes were wonderful, peanut butter bars were fantastic, the wafer cakes with peanut butter between the crunch layers and covered in chocolate were fantastic. The white or chocolate Christmas tree cakes were unforgettable. My only rule for Little Debbie’s was that they had to be deconstructed and eaten a layer at a time. I bet they’re on the menu in heaven. :)
