Doesn't seem like we've had any summer yet....

The west of the UK gets most of the rain, so S.W. England, Wales, N.W England and the west of Scotland. The East of Scotland is fairly dry, but windy. Being islands, Ireland and Great Britain get a moderating effect from the sea, so the temperature is rarely very hot or very cold.
A/C is not really needed in most situations.
except here in the South and East during the last 4 summers when we've had temps into the 90's ...but aside from that, this area is the best for weather all year anyway. The most temperate, the warmest, the driest.. ..I hate when you read of people saying that when they came to London it rained all the time. That rarely ever happens, except maybe a few days in winter..or spring..

All that said, the Midlands can be very wet. I've never visited Birmingham when it hasn't rained, that's the truth..

My elder daughter lives in Manchester and she complains about the frequency of rain. I've rarely visited the Lake district when it hasn't rained! It's warm and sunny here today - up to 25 C. On rare occasions it has been 32 C in Deeside.

Spring came and went unnoticed. There were 3 days of fairly light rain last month, but I don't think that qualifies.

Currently, we're having the kind of oven-dry heat that sucks the breath out of you the moment you step outside. It's worth the trouble to drive up to the exit gate, and then back around to the entrance gate to drive to the mailboxes.

nope....days get shorter heading into autumn

Its sure hot for Autumn over your way. @hollydolly

The heat sounds like Mildura summers except we get massive dust storms in the mix of wind and extreme heat with up to 48c

I’ve seen many reports on the news about the UK very hot weather with many flocking to waterways to cool off27A6E5A7-3D72-403E-AF9A-F7C8AAD3FFC3.jpeg

It’s mid winter here so are still getting frost …..Mildura Victoria ( Australia )
We are lucky enough to get a sunny day now and then to remind us what the sun looks like.
Most days are around 14- 15 c
@Millyd
I was visiting Kryall Castle (spelling?) when large snowflakes started to fall. Thrilled to experience winter in Australia, as I found summers to be challenging for this Canadian.
