Doesn't seem like we've had any summer yet....

Sunrise here 04:17, sunset 22.19, but it never gets really dark. Currently warm (for here) at about 70 ish.

Last year, the neighbour's roosters started crowing about 3 a.m. , but they've been quieter this year.

We have had hot hot hot here in southern Ontario. And the weatherman is promising another week of 30 plus temps. Some of my veggies cannot take the heat, the peas especially have scorched tips and they were just about ready to bloom.

I am not a fan of this weather.....makes me just plain crabby.....can't wait till fall and winter.
I like hot weather, but not the hot weather we have here...albeit very sunny, it's soo humid... and it makes for terrible sleep...

The hot/humid weather is on its way .. so fortunate to have a/c in the condo and car!
It was perfect yesterday to take Abbi the corgi out to the dog park at Cherry Beach. Sunny, low temps and low humidity. If only it could stay that way. Abbi was so excited, and we got to meet lots of friendly doggos.

Spring in Texas????

It was just 6 C this morning as I headed out to my biffy (outdoor toilet) here in The Yukon. Pretty cold too when you wash your face with ice cold water but it sure woke me up. Anyway, it's heading to 18 C this afternoon so I figure for the Yukon, it's almost tropical.

It's nice to picture how happy Abbi was. Thanks for describing that!

I agree, the only time its felt like summer was 2nd week in May when temps were in the mid 80's
Last week we had 2 days where it was in the high 80's low 90's
We've had a few breezy,e.g 25 mph or higher, sunny is out too windy to sit outside

It's June 23,2022 I still have the furnace on. Normally, my air conditioner is on from May to October, and the furnace is shut completely off. We've only had a few days when I had my AC on. It's late JUNE????????

The temps here in Texas has been 100+ every day in June except 1 day! I don't know when this heat wave will break. Just horrible!

This weekend is supposed to peak with the high temps., then slowly get some relief and some needed rain, around here anyway.

I heard that air conditioning is common in the US, but most places in the UK don't have AC. The UK is supposed to be cold & wet. Is that an old wives tale?
This part of the Uk ..the south and East are pretty dry, and sunny most of the time.. the west (wales) gets a lot of rain and Scotland too

if you follow the weather thread on here.. 90 % of the ime, my weather is much better than most of the people on here in the US and Canada.. so yes it's an oft quoted tale about it always raining in the UK

The west of the UK gets most of the rain, so S.W. England, Wales, N.W England and the west of Scotland. The East of Scotland is fairly dry, but windy. Being islands, Ireland and Great Britain get a moderating effect from the sea, so the temperature is rarely very hot or very cold.
A/C is not really needed in most situations.
