Doing your laundry. Do you have a schedule.

LadyEmeraude

Tis The Season
I do my laundry once weekly. Or of course as needed.

Towels etc. Once weekly.

Clothes etc. Once weekly.

underclothes etc. Once weekly.

And mostly, I do my laundry both
washing and drying, in the early
evenings lol

Lighthearted topic ;)

I do laundry once a week. Monday night.
Towels are done together. Meaning we have one load of towels. We each have our own washroom. Some are my husbands towels, some are mine. I usually have 2 loads of clothes to do per week.

Yes, I have a laundry schedule. Every single day about 7am.

Monday is usually just clothes, Tuesday is son's towels and anything else in the basket, Wednesday is his sheets and anything else, Thursday our towels and anything else, Friday is our sheets and anything else. It follows along with the room I clean that day. I try to have Sunday off but there's usually something someone needs.

These days we have an elderly, incontinent dog and that can cause an entire day of laundry quilt-blanket-top sheet- bottom sheet- mattress pad--pillow cases--pillows. It's truly amazing what a 7 pound dog can do.

That is a good schedule for you, and at least you get everything tended
to in the laundry department ;)

Has anyone tried a ventless apt sized dryer? I just read about and watched a video about Morus dryers and they look good. Have a water holding dmall contanier for moisture. I already have a portable washer that I LOVE!

I don't like doing laundry, so I get it all done on Mondays.
Wash, dry, put away. Ironing and mending too, if needed.

the thought of having to do it every day is :::ugh:::
I haven't ironed anything for years. I'm sure we would look better if I did. but it doesn't even occur to me anymore.

The normal laundry room is up six stairs in a distant part of the house. There was already plumbing in the main bathroom downstairs for a washer but my regular washer wouldn't fit there so I bought a smaller portable washer. I don't move it around. But I do love it!

I also looked at a smaller non-vented dryer that runs on 120V instead of the 240V that regular dryers require. From everything I have read, they take hours to dry a load and I don't want the humidity in the house. Electrician installed 240V near the new washer and it is so much easier than dragging laundry up those steps.

Yeah.. a pet peeve of mine is rolled hems and sloppy collars on shirts. I simply have to flatten them! Fortunately the time spent ironing is less than 20 minutes a month total.

I mostly do it when my sons go to their dad, so I have place to hang it, but if necessary I also do it when they're here, but not a whole load. Just one drying rack in the hall. When my dryer still worked I did it whenever, but it's annoying to have a big rack in the living room and you have to walk around it.
