The Five Below website looks good, but I didn't know they had actual stores, too.In my area the Dollar Tree sells everything for $1.00. The Dollar Store, Family Dollar and Dollar General all have reduced price items. Five Below is another outlet type store that sells everything for….you guessed it!…$5.00 or below!
If I need a food or a household item to be good quality and/or hold up over the long haul, as a general statement I don’t buy from these stores. The exceptions are decorative items because they’re not actually used, just put on display. I’ve gotten all kinds of things for my kitchen, bathroom, living room as we’ve remodeled and redecorated, that don’t look cheap but are inexpensive and perfect for our decor.
From the Dollar Tree I buy containers for organizing purposes, (drawer organization etc) cheap plastic containers with lids as to-go containers for family dinners so I can send everyone home with food, gift wrap, tissue paper, ribbon etc and seasonal decorations that I throw away after use (window cling gels, paper signage, plastic tablecloths etc)
I heard they took over Hollar, which was where I bought a lot of household products.
