Anyone remember Don Ho ?

I liked his "Tiny Bubbles", "Pearly Shells" and the "Wedding Song".......Dean Martin also did a very excellent job singing "Tiny Bubbles" that I'm listening to now.

lol - I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for few years. You get pretty tired of Don Ho/Tiny Bubbles after about 100 times. Kinda like when I lived in Florida and all the local "musicians" felt obligated to sing/play Margaretville. A dozen times a night. Every night.

And that's why I now live in Arizona. Maybe I'll head up to Winslow tomorrow. You know, stand on the corner.

I remember Don Ho and loved his songs. Many years ago I worked with a Hawaiian lady who was a very distant relative of his. Her Moms greatest wish was to go to Hawaii and meet him. Finally,at a very old age, she was able to save enough to fly to Hawaii and see him sing and meet him back stage. As she was boarding the plane to fly back home she dropped dead on the spot. At least her greatest wish was granted and she died a happy women.

I remember Don Ho and enjoyed his music.

America seemed to have a love affair with all things Hawaiian in the 60's!
