Double yolk eggs

I found 2 in the same carton about 2 weeks ago. But I always by Jumbo size....still I rarely see that. Well, never in the same carton.

Marie, if you turn your head sideways, the photo of double eggs looks like Simpson...that main character on the Cartoon TV show. I wonder if that means your twins will look like him

Being that the incredible edible egg (mainly yolk) is so beneficial to health, add that I have always enjoyed eggs. I buy our eggs in 2 1/2 doz flats from a local market. They carry many items that are hard to find. The eggs have been candled but listed on the shrink warp is a notice that many of them contain double yolks. I grab them whenever I go there. Who ever came up with the egg white omelette? Sure fooled the masses. Only thing I can think of it was created to sell more eggs.

Getting double the nutrients without the extra unnecessary protein. I used to separate the yolks & whites then add back one or two whites for body. My cholesterol is normal as is my HGB. I never believed all the bogus crap about eating too many eggs. Last flat had at least 80% with double yolks, they come from 'free' range chickens but cost about double the price of a doz out of the large chain grocery stores, still a bargain. The only thing I do now is fully cook them, used to love an over easy yolk & soft boiled eggs.

Haven't seen one of those in YEARS. They usually occur in extra large eggs.

I only buy large eggs; NEVER Extra large eggs.

I'm always leery about something that comes from a chicken's rear end.

I buy my eggs at a particular store, because they are jumbo...and @ $1.78 p/doz , a good buy. In those, I get double yoke quite often.....probably 4-6 out of each dozen. They make really nice fluffy & larger omelets.

Hummm....I think breakfast has been decided !

I buy Jmbo eggs almost exclusively. If I were to go in and crack the dozen I have in the fridge right now,at least 8 would have double yolks.
