I drank potato vodka and was horrified at how tasteless it was.

Admittedly, the Kamchatka vodka I've been buying tastes a little bit like "nothing" to just short of plain rubbing alcohol. Blue Ice actually has a taste...a pleasant potatoey flavor.

It seems that the maker of potato vodka, responsibly took the time to improve the flavor of the drink, and with vodka it's not easy.
I am an avid wine drinker and connoisseur. I go to bed thinking about Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, and wake up thinking about Oligotte and Riesling

I am not much of a connoiseur so, don't know much about vodka brands but, I do know that Harvey Wallbangers and Strawberry Daiquiri with vodka are both very nice

One thing about vodka- if mixed in a cocktail it's hard to taste the vodka. Some people prefer it that way. I like to taste the spirits, right now I'm having a vodka "up", with a soda "back", basically chasing sips of vodka with the soda.
