Drunk Driver Reported by his Mercedes, UK

I have heard about cars that won't start if they
detect alcohol, but it was a failure, so back to
the drawing board, the model refused to start,
for a sober driver because a passenger had been
drinking, I haven't heard if they have solved that
problem.

Perhaps in a vehicle like a London Black Cab, where
the driver is isolated.

Mike.

Great idea, wish more auto manufacturers would have this feature. Would be handy also in an accident on a less travelled road.

I thought they had something out where several times convicted drunk drivers had to blow into something and if alcohol was detected the car would not start.
