Drunk/Passed Out Father Sufficates Infant After 24 Beers.

A drunk or passed out father "fell asleep" after drinking 24 beers suffocating his infant son. Infant was only 8 weeks old. To top it off the baby was born premature. Even more disgusting the father lied not admitting to drinking saying he just fell asleep. But what the heck is the father of a premature newborn doing drinking 24 beers knowing their new addition to the family will need special attention. What The HECK!

This pos will have plenty of time to get his priorities straight sleeping it off in jail.

I had a similar case like this back in the late 70's, only it was a mother who wanted to have her baby take a nap with her and she fell asleep and rolled over on the baby girl, suffocating the baby. No charges were filed after the investigation. That mother was a mess and probably was for a long time. I attended the funeral.

I dunno we slept with all our kids as babies. Easier when you're nursing. Unless somebody is a very big person and very sound sleeper...you develop like a second sense, you can feel the baby moving or making noise and it wakes you enough to feed the baby before they cry.
But getting yourself intentionally totally wrecked while there is an infant in your care...he's going to live with that the rest of his life, no excuses there.

Like you fureverywhere, I slept with my babies occasionally but I guess, like you said, the secret is being a light sleeper.

And you know, that booze hound may finally mature and change his ways and yeah, he'll have to live with that memory for the rest of his life. We humans are sometimes so stupid when we're young!

How sad. Nobody caring for an infant should be drinking at all. I have to blame the mother too, if she knew he was a drunk, she should have never left him with that baby.
