This is terrible! 6 people were killed and at least 30 were sent to area hospitals. 72 vehicles were involved; big rigs were reduced to twisted metal and some vehicles caught fire. This article includes video footage of the horrific scene. Police are still trying to identify two of the victims who were in a fiery crash. May take a few seconds to load.

I can understand such a dust storm forming this year. Parts of the Midwest, including us, have had one of the driest Springs, on record. I got out a couple of days ago to cut the grass, and within minutes I had to stop and put on one of these Covid masks....due to all the dust the riding mower was kicking up. It seems that this year, all the "fronts" are going North and South of us...flooding parts of the nation, while leaving us high and dry.

When they pop up fast not much one can do except always drive with plenty of stopping distance. I've seen too many drive to drive 'normal' in driving rain or snow. That being said these situation develop too fast.

Best of luck to survivor and RIP victims.
