Earthquake.

Aunt Bea, To be honest with you, I didn't even notice him. Too busy waiting for the shaking to stop.

AZ Jim. This was " A piece of cake" compared to the 88s and the 105s over Germany.

I was in Orange County CA in early 1971 and felt an earthquake. (not just a tremor)
It was sooooo frightening......knocked me out of bed, :eek:mg1: a lamp fell and broke, and also some dishes, etc. in the kitchen broke.
10 - 20 seconds can feel like an eternity in a situation like that.

Glad you are fine, Falcon. That sounds like a good jolt. I check the USGS earthquake map everyday and have noticed an uptick in CA recently, especially around Watsonville. We've even had 6 small ones where I live near Redding in the last week, and that is not normal. Hope a "big" one isn't coming any time soon.

Can be scary to go through no matter how small it might register. I remember feeling some shaking here in Phoenix when you folks had a rather large one back in Spring of 2010. Glad you are OK !

Falcon, I hope you, your dog and your home are okay. I've never experienced an earthquake, it must be frightening.
