Easter Dinner 2021

It's been forty-six days of Lenten fasting and abstinence. How I am going to enjoy, "Boeuf en Croute" That's roast beef, with pate, encrusted in pastry.

We will be having Italian cabbage: Cabbage with the spines removed from the leaves, chopped into small squares and sweated in a pan with onion, garlic and Pancetta. Additional vegetables will be roasted potatoes, green beans and sweetcorn. All served up with a generous glass of Merlot. It's been a long Lent.
 
Baked ham with pineapple and brown sugar glaze, along with a traditional and classic potato salad.

Dear husband will more than likely be having a beer with his dinner, and I think this year I'm going to pour myself a glass of vino.
