Eat In, or eat Out?

No question at all for me... home cooked... and I love cooking, so I don't even mind preparing that meal myself. That doesn't mean I won't appreciate someone else doing the preparing, but always home cooked. Don't forget to answer your own question, Fuzz! :giggle:
I'm a diabetic, that means watching my carb intake; and that's hard to do when eating in a restaurant.

Every Friday a very kind young woman in my neighborhood, a professional dog walker, treats me to one of her outrageously delicious home cooked meals. Last night she delivered a tin of sausage and peppers with a semolina roll. Last Friday it was meatloaf with a baked potato and string beans. I want to get adopted.

With today's prices, eating out has stopped being a treat.

After my mother died, back in the 70s, we used to eat at a very good diner. It was run by a guy who ruled with a great attention to detail.

That's the key to a well run eating establishment. A manager who gives a hoot about what every employee is doing.

Now, you pay 4 times as much for a mediocre
experience.

You have been adopted! How about a nice card for her?

For me "eat in"! Both my wife and I are good cooks...but
For my wife, "eat out"...

She gets this from her parents. Her mom could not cook and her dad, who ran his own business, was never around to cook, even if he wanted to. So, they ate out a lot...

We eat in most of the time, but my wife is always looking to eat out. I tell her if we do it all the time then it will no longer be special to us for fun nights out...

In my working years I ate out about 13 times a week. Now I am retired and widowed and only eat out to socialize with family.

That pic reminds me of the time that I was driving around
Chicago to pick up meats etc to delivery down in Indiana, I
decided to get a sandwich from a "roach coach" that was
outside one of the meat plants, ....BIG mistake, the poisionous
stuff hit my innards about 20miles down the road and I had
to get a motel room to stay overnite and recover...never again
did I eat from one of those to this day.......

I prefer home cooked, but there are restaurants we both like. My wife has been saying she is tired of cooking, so we do eat out once or twice per week.

I used to eat out but the last few years, I have lived some distance from town so now it is always home. Maybe go out once every six months, maybe once every year, lol.

The pharmacy I use has a Subway restaurant inside. It's like a dentist having a bakery in his office, but I enjoy buying a loaded sandwich once a month.

We enjoy eating out, maybe once a week. However, prices are going up everywhere, and with a 15%-20% tip, it can get expensive.
