I have a full upper denture and it does not interfere with the taste of food. My husband used to take both his dentures out and eat. I don't know how he did it ! I can't give you any advice, but have to ask..did chewing meat make your gums sore at first (or continue to do so)?Hi All
I have had a partial upper denture for appx a yeah , no problem with it at all re fitting, it’s the taste of food that’s the problem. I have always removed it when eating which is ok unless you are out. Any advice much appreciated.

Taking your partial out to eat kind of defeats the purpose of the partial. I've got dentures and they are made of nonreactive stuff. I'm not sure how they could alter the tase of food. How does your food taste different?Hi All

My friend had that trouble, had oral surgery to get the specialBoth my parents wore dentures. Dad had great difficulty in keeping the bottom plate secure and used some type of powder. My grandfather had dentures as well and would take them out to eat pork chops, his favourite, he said he could taste them better without teeth.
I have heard of that happening. The things have such fine connections to the contraption. There was another thread similar to this and I posted to it here. I find no difference in the taste of food, but I get concerned if a small dental appliance (replacing one tooth) comes loose when eating, it could accidentally be swallowed. When I'm home alone, I don't wear it, but when going somewhere, I do. If there's any possibility I may eat something when I go out, I secure it with dental adhesive.
