Eating Yogurt Cheaper

I like plain, whole-milk yogurt, nice and SOUR. It's healthier that way.

I like the plain unflavoured yoghurt it contains a fraction of the sugar of the flavoured varieties
I have it for breakfast 6 days a week .
I used to eat cereal however I started having yoghurt after being told I had diabetes as a result I cut down on carbs lost weight and a recent blood test showed no signs of diabetes

For people who like fruit/sweetened yogurt, this is brilliant. There's a quarter mile aisle of tiny fruit yogurts at my store an they seem to get smaller every year. So much cheaper FM's way
I am buying nothing but vanilla and adding my own fruit but I still have to buy key-lime because I can duplicate that. Adding ground up nuts make it even better.

Plus you get fresher fruit by adding your own. I might start doing it FM's way, but I don't like the sour taste so might add some real maple syrup.

I still eat plain yogurt.....was always served at dinnertime with ground peppermint leaves and chopped cukes mixed in...I now use it as a dip for my veggies sticks and veggie chips....
The coconut flavored ones are delish also.

I make and strain my own milk kefir ( when I have extra ) and add a little to my plain yoghurt
(when dishing it up) for added gut heath benefits.

I also cook blueberries or raspberries with a tiny bit of added sugar then blitz them in my NutriBullet ,I put into small jars and freeze till needed to add to my yoghurt for natural sweetness.

The yoghurt I buy is 5% sugar as I’m not a sweet tooth I sometimes look at other brands when I see they are 16% ~ 20% + sugar I quickly put them back on the self

I’ve got two like that with auto timers ( Moulenix ) great size little jars @AnnieA I’ve been lazy and been buying my yoghurt.
I was using a starter it made nice thick yoghurt and couldn’t get it so I started buying ready made I must check if the heath food shop can get it in sometime in the new year ,it only has to come from Queensland, each pack of starter made up to 100 ltrs so it lasted forever

If you can't get the starter you want, one carton of Siggi's 4% works well for my 42 ounce maker and it's available in Australia at Woolworths Supermarkets. I use their 4% plain which isn't available there, but I'm betting the vanilla would work as well since they use very little sugar. Siggi's has one of the best culture profiles for store bought yogurt.
