Oooh, I'd be rather sad if I lost my eccentricities. Always been an 'individual' - never a 'sheeple'. I love being eccentric/different and it's such fun to play on it now I'm an old fart
My older sister used to make me feel 'less' (for want of a better word) when we were younger because I didn't run with the pack. She says now she'd like to think of herself as an individual, but realises she's never been one whereas I have. (Which I take as a rare compliment from her).
I did follow fashions in my younger days though, until I developed my own style back then .... antique clothes.
My best mate since childhood, her husband and myself often discuss how we used to be way back.... and both of them dissolve into laughter at stuff I used to get up to that was considered 'un-normal'.
My daughter and SIL don't get where I'm at sometimes ... but methinks that's more a generational thing.
