Eczema Remedies

Over the past 5/6 months I've been plagued with eczema around my ankles.
I can't remember ever having this problem before, and one or two friends are convinced that I've developed an allergy with the Covid jabs.
Trying to see a doctor at my health centre is a waste of time, they only have locums, and when they are there, they won't give me an appointment as my complaint is not 'urgent'.
I've done some googling and found several creams, the latest having hydrocortisone acetate in it, but non of these creams seem to be affective in ridding me of this nuisance.
Do any of you lovely people have some remedy that could shift my eczema, I'd be grateful if you did. :)

My doctor prescribed a cream but I don't recall the name. Anyway, if you can't get an appointment, check online for the doctors there and with pharmacy companies . I have had some of my meds refilled by them. They are not expensive. But, shop for one that fits you. Also, I increased the biotin and complex B vitamins I take which really has helped me. Hope this helps.

I have a tube here. It is Triamcinolone Acetonide. That is the generic for Triderm.

Thank you for the advice. (y)

I consulted an online doctor who prescribed and supplied 'Fucidin H cream', which magically arrived 48 hours later.
I started applying it as instructed, and it is definitely having a positive effect, the blistering is almost gone and the redness and soreness is subsiding. :)

I thank you all for for your helpful suggestions. (y)

Now, I wonder if that online doctor could prescribe something else, that ****** stuff is useless. ;) 😊

@timoc .. About a month ago, I developed extreme eczema on my hand. What did help, was Aveeno moisturizing cream. It has colloidal oatmeal in it. There are a few different ones. I found one in the Baby Care section of the pharmacy which was close to $10.00 - but then I bought the Aveeno "Eczema Care" Moisturizing Cream for $17.99 .. a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. In winter, my skin gets very dry patches. I think that your ankles are dry from wearing socks all the time.

Thank you, Pinky, I'll get some of that cream.
I'm glad you found the solution to your problem with your hand, and I hope it's all better now.
Thank you again. 😘 😊

I'm sure the prescribed cream is working well for you. The Aveeno is OTC, but it does work. My eczema was very bad .. all over the top of my hand - could not stop scratching, it went around my wrist as well.

Glad to hear that you have relief from it :)

I’m going to look for this. I‘ve have one spot on my hand for years. When it acts up, it’s red and extremely itchy. DH diagnosed (he has no medical background) it as eczema. Aveeno is a good brand. I presume it’s ok to use even where you don’t have eczema. This cold, dry weather sure takes a toll on our skin.

@Jules ..The first tube was Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream with natural colloidal oatmeal (fragrance free), which my husband bought for his dry heels. It would work as an all-over lotion. It's a 223 ml tube.

The Aveena Active Naturals Eczema Care Moisturing Cream is 166 ml, and on the costly side. I bought it so that I'd not be using his, but the Baby one worked very well to clear up the eczema on my hand.
