it may be here but it's not affected us with our supplies.. the shelves are full.. in fact I was in the supermarket just 3 hours ago, and I saw the shelves were full of eggs.. no scarcity...yetIt's there, it's everywhere, since it's spread by wild birds migrating (and other vectors) around the world.

No, as the chickens are being destroyed. Look at the warnings/recalls on raw pet food. UK confirmed first human case yesterday.If egg prices are up because they are slaughtering chickens because of bird flu, shouldn't the price of chicken come down?

I looked at getting chickens again... My last order was $38 a few years ago... Same order today is $125More home backyard coops in the works. Also, chickens lay a lot more eggs in summer months, at least up north anyway. By August, prices will be back down to $2 a dozen. My oldest daughter is getting a backyard coop this Spring as well. Increased supply always brings prices down.
