Elastic-waisted pants... love 'em or hate 'em?

I find them to be very comfortable and wear them around the house all the time. My only issue is that if I load up my pockets (as men are prone to do), I will find my pants slipping down in a most annoying way. So in many ways I am still stuck using an uncomfortable belt.

My wife wears them all the time, in fact it has been ages since she wore a belt. Most of hers look good enough that she has no reluctance about wearing them shopping or getting on a plane.
 

Years ago I wouldn’t be caught dead in them as I figured I’d be in frump ville but now I live in yoga pants and leggings. They do NOT look frumpy. Like others here I wear extra long baggy tops which compliments them nicely. You bet! Gone are the days of zippers and buttons on pants that you can’t bent in😎
 
I must be weird, because its always been hard for me to find a "comfortable" paiar of elastic pants...if they fit right in the waist they are way too big everywhere else and seem to be uncomfortable when sitting. I'm not a big person, either. About 5 ft-5" tall and 122-124 pounds. Normally wear a size small. So go figure, must be my short waist.

Sure, I've been teased about them in my day, me wearing "mommy pants" and all, same for my love of granny panties, but no amount of teasing and ribbing swayed me from embracing elastic-waisted pants!

Easy on-off, no fussing around with buttons, zippers, or snaps, and for bigger girls like me, nothing fits better or is more comfortable than a quality pair of elastic-waisted pants!

What about leggings. They arent made to be baggy so usually fit most people
You are average height so shouldn’t be having this problem

That's why I virtually live in leggings. I wish they would make them available in more colours in the cotton-blends.
 
A great place to get a great deal on designer yogi pants is Costco. TUFF ATHLETES....they are 3/4 length, fit so nicely and have a little zippered secret pocket that’s ever so discreet. Super comfortable AND are form fitting. They help you look good.
 
I've been wearing elastic waisted pants for yrs, more comfortable esp if they come in long because I have long legs.
I like the leggings as well,have a few in different colors I wear during winter months.I do have to remind myself they don't have pockets
