Loganair, a Scottish airline, has announced hopes to introduce electric passenger aircraft on it's short routes round the Western and Northern Isles. The world's shortest scheduled route is the 1.7 mile flight between Westray and Papa Westray in the Orkney islands.
Scheduled flight time including taxiing is 2 mins, but the record is 53 seconds. Range is hardly going to be an issue!
