Electric car batteries are catching fire and that could be a big turnoff to buyers

Even tablets and laptops can become surprisingly hot (beyond warm) to the touch, and batteries have ignited on aircraft. Maybe the EverReady bunny is beating that drum to warn us..

Lithium batteries are restricted on airlines...because of their potential to cause a fire. Under unusual circumstances, they can also be a hazard in cars. As electric car technology advances, I'm sure the batteries will also. Personally, so long as gasoline stations abound, I have No desire to buy an electric car. Only if charging stations were as commonplace as gas stations....AND these cars could be recharged in minutes, instead of hours, would I be interested in one. Presently, I see little advantage in electric cars, other than for use in urban areas, where a driver only drives a hundred miles, or less, at a time.

I enjoy your news posts Robert. Not sure why you wanna stop posting them. Unless you're being given grief over it.
