Electronic Filter for Heater & Air Condition

My wife complained about the air being dusty in the house. Ouch! I forgot to clean the electronic filers, and that should be done monthly. Am I doing it right?

Looks like what I used to do to clean mine. Wish I still had one, ours finally stopped working and I miss it.
