The more I hear about this Lady, the more I think SHE is the one the Democrats should be pushing for the Presidency in 2016. Now, she is trying to bring this "Secretive" TPP negotiation into the public eye, instead of letting the Big Corporations and their army of Lobbyists write yet another piece of legislation that will further damage the American Worker.

I confess I don't pretend to fully understand all the implications of this trade deal. I don't understand the President's efforts to keep so much secret. I suspect there are some very complex forces affecting these negotiations but I don't know what they are. I've trusted the President in the past without regrets. On the other hand I trust Elizabeth Warren and I especially trust Sherrod Brown (D-OH) my senator. So I'm paying close attention to how this develops. If anyone can suggest any really good balanced links about TPP I'd appreciate seeing them.

On the subject of the Democratic Presidential nominee, EW is NOT GOING TO RUN so that means HRC is my gal and she has my trust and loyalty.
 
I don't know much about this TPP, either....nor does anyone, other than a select few Corporate Lobbyists, who seem to be doing most of the negotiations, and writing of the legislation. According to this article, those few in Congress who have seen any of the "work", are sworn to secrecy...this alone, should make most people highly suspicious.

Insofar as EW not running, that's a shame...as she seems to be one of the Very Few that is willing to take on the "establishment". HRC strikes me, and most people...according to recent polls....as being of the mindset that what is good for HRC is good for the nation....and gaining the public's trust is going to be her biggest hurdle.

Quite frankly, I haven't seen any of these 2016 candidates, or potential candidates/either party, that generates much in the way of enthusiasm in my mind. 2016 is shaping up to be a real "hold your nose" election.

I think you're being a bit premature Don. A lot of people have been infected by the continuous stream of right wing negative propaganda about Hillary. Hillary's progressive credentials go way back. She was initially pilloried because of her leftie/feminist positions. Since her announcement she has been consistently taking more progressive positions than people anticipated. Give Hillary a fresh look, she deserves it.
 
It's still a long time before the elections, and anything could happen in the next 18 months. However, at this point, it appears that the Democrats have chosen to put all their eggs in the Hillary Clinton basket. If her campaign implodes, and the Dems have No Plan B, they will be giving the Republicans a free ride to the White House.

In 2011 the Democrats started the campaign season with only one name, so it's not exactly unprecedented.
 
Yes, in 2011, the Democrats were behind the incumbent President, Obama. This is the normal approach for either Party when an incumbent is seeking a 2nd term. However, 2016, like any election which is replacing an incumbent with a new face, the Party is going to have to offer the voters an option should the early "leader" begin to falter. If the Democrats continue to push only HC, and she implodes, the Republicans will easily win.
