Elongated Skulls

Those video things never seem to work for me, so I'll skip trying to watch it. However, I know that elongated skulls were considered a mark of status in the past and babies' heads were wrapped in tight cloth to extent their heads. The question is...why? There is a theory that they were copying the appearance of extra terrestrials.

Very interesting subject. With all the changing theories through the years I have lost faith in contemporary Archaeology and Anthropology. I enjoy the ones who look outside of the box. IMO it is all theoretic at best but interesting none the less. Thanks for the post Palides2021

Very interesting fad, it's right up there with foot binding,
If I remember correctly there was a Native American tribe that did that as well, they put a board on the child's forehead, I think they tied it on somehow, I came across it years ago, can't remember where might have been the History Channel.

For those who think the elongated skull was a process like wrapping babies heads @Lavinia, I found an interesting article that goes into that and they do mention about the elongation of babies heads, but in this same article, they also mention heads of a 7month old baby in-utero that had an elongated skull and also DNA from some elongated skulls that were not the same as human DNA:

Also in the Brien Foerster video, around 36 minutes into the video, the researcher talks about genetics. They observed not only the elongation of the skull but the formation of the eyes, etc that were different from the human skulls. He carefully points out all the differences between humans and these people. They also did genetic tests. According to Foerster, these are not Homo sapiens. Could it possibly be true?

Could it possibly be true?
I think it could be true. DNA testing has opened up a lot of doors. I think that there may have been a few advanced civilizations that existed here on earth before us. There has been plenty of time for them to come and go with out much of a trace. Main stream science seems to balk at the idea...:(

If you like this sort of thing you might want to check out Graham Hancock's Website. He also has some interesting YouTube videos.

I really don't want to trash the veracity of the History Channel, but they do have a long time series, "Ancient Aliens". Personally, I have a hard time believing aliens would travel a quadrillion million miles just to mate with an irresistible earthling. First dates never work out.
Yep, that one is pure fiction unfortunately portrayed as something scientific or true.

I don't have time tonight to watch the video but I noticed he did mention The Pharaoh Akhenaten (King Tut's father). He had an elongated skull. So did his wife Nefertiti, which is why she wore the crown hats, it's been theorized. It was also theorized that be cause of Ak's unusual appearance, that he was an alien. But of course, the practice of elongating skulls as well as a disease that could cause elongated skulls has been mentioned as more viable explanations.

There is nothing mysterious or alien about elongated skulls.
Just as in China for hundreds of years women's feet were bound to make them smaller - and - in Africa and some Asian countries rings around the neck to make them longer.
Similarly some cultures bound heads to produce that elongated look.
