Was still too young when his music was really popular and then later just never cared for him. Don’t think I ever saw any of his movies.

I fell in love with Elvis the first time I saw him on TV. When I was about 12yrs old a boy took me to see Love Me Tender. When Elvis died in the movie I squeezed the boys arm so tight and I was crying. It's funny I remember that day so well but I can't remember the name of the boy who took me to the movie.

When I was a child I played his records (my father collected R & R), loved them but it never lasted . Hated his Vegas music. Mainly I felt sorry for this poor hillbilly rocketing into fame the heights of which he had no conception. It messed him up.

I didn't care for him when he first became popular and then he came out with Love Me Tender and I thought,wow! he can really sing. After that I listened to all his slower songs. I'll record the show so I can zip through the songs and artists I don't like.

I agree!! Loved the show. I listen to Elvis everyday. His gospel songs are my favorites!
Ditto...I missed the last 15 minutes (dozed off during commercial). Wife said I missed Elvis's Granddaughter !!
