Getting emails like that always feels sketchy, especially when the links point somewhere completely unrelated like another country. I’ve started treating anything like that as suspicious by default and just going straight to official sites instead. Stuff like this really shows how important it is to stay cautious and double-check sources, even if it looks legit at first glance safe email habits

I get emails from Credit Karma cuz I have an account and I won't click the email links. I just go to the site. Odd thing is, I can never find on the site what they email me about. That's not suspicious at all.

I agree with @Sunkist, you were just being sensible Robin. We all need to be more vigilant and cautious these days. The amount of sophisticated scams is unbelievable (pardon the pun ).

With VPNs, they could be coming from your
next door neighbour and you wouldn't know.

I love when those emails come looking so official but then look at the mailing address and it's
some name with letters that don't make sense or from another country.
