emoji vs emoticons

I googled it but I'm still not sure. Apparently it's Japanese but is a picture you use instead of a word. ??

I read it direct from their full online site on the desktop, and I have android apps on the tablet and phone which has a sort of condensed version, long may it continue to be free. :)

We've got the Amazon US for our kindle accounts, and I pay $9.99 a month for hubby's Guardian. It's a pretty nice layout he gets to choose what stories or editorials to read. Photos aren't great though.

The free android app has good quality photos the same as the website, but I read it on a Nook, or the smart phone where its surprisingly easy on the eye. The BBC news app is pretty good as well, but you don't get the comments like you do on the Guardian, which are often more telling than the articles :D

Husband likes it on the kindle as once it's downloaded he doesn't need to be near wifi or a signal.

There is that option on the app as well Annie, I often download it when I am off on a flight, you can choose what to download either all of it including photos and/or choose which sections you want. It will even automatically download it each day, all for free, amazing really!!!
I only use the Kindle these days for straight book reading, as feel it doesn't handle travel books and other items with photos and maps very well.
