Enhance The Look Of An Old Stump?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to enhance the look of a stump? We’ve got an old oak stump that’s about 4 feet tall in the yard. It was once a huge tree that was struck by lightning and we never had it fully removed. We don’t want to get rid of it, just would like to make it look a bit better if possible. I’d like to turn it into a DIY project since we’re stuck at home due to the pandemic.

You can do several "decorative" things with a big stump. Putting a big flower pot on it is one way to add some "ambience". One of our neighbors had 4 big trees removed from near the house, and he mounted some nice big statues of eagles on them....looks kind of nice.

A picture might help...? If it's big enough, maybe a chainsaw sculpture is hiding inside?
YES! My thoughts exactly however you might hurt yourself if you tried it and it’s expensive to hire someone to do it. A picture of the stump would really help . We have quite a few stumps on our property and what I’ve done with a few of them is grow things like ivy or periwinkle up and around them and used a pot of flowers for the top until the plants reach it. It actually looks very attractive. You can also rent a stump grinder but first you’d have to cut it down as far as possible.

Perhaps use a hole saw cutter to make random cuts at downward angles, fill them with soil, and plant some ferns or other perennials? I plan to try that this year.

Thanks for all of the ideas! I'm thinking we're gonna go with a tree face and then maybe like suggested some ivy or ferns on top in a pot, that way it will look like its his hair.
