There was an article a few weeks ago about some "invasive" earth worms in the "US". Reading further into that article and seeing a photo of the worm, I realized I had seen those kind of earthworms before. What? The article made it sound like they would kill everything, that they change the composition of the soil (isn't that what they're supposed to do?), but near the end, it stated they had been in this state for several decades. The headline was just a sensational "click-on-me" one.
While digging up weeds in the front garden this morning, I found more than a few of them. I carefully replaced them and lightly covered them with soil.
