EPA approves first two cleaning sprays that kill the coronavirus in 2 minutes

Now, to find it! I've been trying to find Lysol spray for months and it is currently unavailable. I did find bleach though so that was good.

are you able to find any lysol at all? i have some little bottles that you mix with water to make five gallons.

I don't understand the need for disinfectants among people who are staying at home and not allowing others inside.
When we return home from being out, we wash our hands thoroughly.

My cleaning habits haven't changed much from a year ago. Ok, I've backed off on the dusting because it's among my least favorite chores. But otherwise? I clean the sinks, toilets, counters, kitchen, floors, etc., pretty much the same as always. What is it I'd be disinfecting for?

If DH or I get this little nasty, we'll almost certainly pass it to the other via breathing the same air in close proximity, not by sharing a toilet or sink.

I had some disinfectant wipes from long before this crisis, so when we have a backyard social distance meeting with one of our kids they can use the bathroom that's right off a side door. I clean and disinfect it with these Clorox wipes before and after they come over. Other than that, I don't use them.

Should I?

I was wondering the same thing, Star. Every recent study on this says that the virus is mainly spread by person-to-person contact, breathing, coughing, sneezing, and talking when near each other, without masks, and usually indoors. The likelihood of picking up the virus from hard surfaces is much lower. So while spraying everything like crazy might keep people busy, and feeling like they are at least doing something, it probably has very little impact on reducing their danger.

That's how I interpret it, but considering that sanitizing wipes have been impossible to find, I wonder if we're missing something here. I'm not looking to buy any, mind you, but can't help but notice the empty shelves since early March.

I have used disinfectant spray to spray my packages from Amazon, that is, when I still had some of the spray...Sometimes, too, it just feels good to spray door handles and other handles with the stuff but not doing it any longer. I have also sprayed the outside hall with the spray after I knew other residents had gone through. Now I just wait for about 10 minutes and wear my mask out the door too. You never know what other residents have done in the hall like sneezing, talking, coughing.

Was advertised in Amazon.co.uk but when I went to the site nothing came up with that name just dettol and other sprays and disinfectants. According to one article it is in great demand. Some on ebay but looks expensive. Another profit making enterprise taking advantage of the pandemic no doubt. Just a thought. ☺

I like the disinfectant wipes and have used them for years, long before the coronavirus. You can't find any of them around here, at least not where I have looked, in Costco and the local supermarkets. Those shelves are just out of them.

I wonder why it's so hard to replenish the supply of this one item?
