I think it's typical of the prestidigitation of our government to show one hand holding the golden glow of energy efficiency and cleaner environment while hiding the hand holding the algal blooms, conservation land loss and increase of carbon emissions from fertilizer factories.
I also think they're still using short-eyes to see the REAL problem: automobiles. If they would invest in more mass-transit programs and push their usage, or perhaps even ban personal auto use in major urban areas, they would cut the gasoline requirements of the nation. As that isn't going to happen because of the typical American's feeling of entitlement, all we will see in the immediate future is more lies being presented as the truth.
