Just a reminder for people who are able to purchase a ticket.

The draw on Friday is £128,000,000

It is worth a little flutter.

I play and buy my tickets online - 2 Lotto tickets a week - one for each draw. Sometimes I play Euromillions as well. Most I've ever won is £55. I play for fun plus I never feel I'm wasting my money because I can see where my lottery money is going - the arts, music such as fiddle workshops where I live, sports like some of the money for my fitness centre, films I've watched, etc etc.

I will buy that Euromillions ticket though as I love the fantasy of giving it away to the charities of my choice and to my family.

Do what makes you happy Ameriscot! I buy scratch offs about once a year! If we win we take anything over $2.00 and cash it in and leave. The first day of the lottery in this state I bought 3 tickets at 3 stores and won $25.00 on each one. Not so easy since then. I am sure they changed the odds! I hope you win! And if you do remember I am your friend! LOL!

In the US the lottery money supposedly goes to education. Is there any evidence of where it goes? I just played to win when I lived in the US, but here I can see where they money I pay for lottery tickets goes. It's everywhere. Signs up saying something was funded by Lottery Historic, Lottery Sports, Lottery Arts, etc etc. So I never feel I am wasting my money.

Aye, I'll remember you if I win!

Does anyone remember the first lady in Ireland to win it?..I forget how much it was, but it was worth having..

Apparently she was following a man into a shop..he stopped and held the door open for her..

They both bought ''lucky dips'' hers being first...and she won!

I bet that's the last time he opens the door for a lady!

I can't remember the last time I bought a lottery ticket, but, I have bought a scratch off about a month or so ago, last two tickets, just cashed them in and spent it on groceries. :D Not a regular thing, just an occasional thrill, I almost always get my money back and stop there. The few times I've won $20+ and been stupid enough to think I could get more is always the time I come out on the losing end, so I now know to take the money and leave and not be silly enough to believe the, "winning" $50,000 ticket is going to be that one I blow my last buck on.

I must admit, I once developed a nasty little habit with scratchcards...
