Ever Buy an Album, That You Think No One Else Did?

Paladin1950

Still love 50's & 60's music!
I did it twice. In 1967, I bought a Sonny Bono album called Inner Views. 1966. And 4 years before Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky, was a hit, he was a member of a band called Dr. West's Medicine Show and Junk Band. The single and album was called The Eggplant That Ate Chicago. It was released on Go Go Records.

In 1968 bought album 'A Tramp Shining' because all the songs were written by one of my favorite composers, Jimmy Webb, actor Richard Harris was the singer, and I was a fan of the actor. I know some critics thought he couldn't sing ,I beg to differ. The song' MacArthur Park' is one of the tracks, loved it then still do.. I have the CD bought yrs ago with another Harris album 'My Boy'

Back in 1973, took a chance on a debut album by Tom Waits.

Didn't cost much and figured it would probably join other 'take a chance' albums in my collection.
After listening to it from start to finish, I heard something I really liked, but didn't think too many
others would agree.

Guess I was wrong. This album is still selling quite well.
