@Cornhusker - good for you on checking out the health first. Of course there is concerned, when someone is clearly down and out. Plus just lost my only nephew to suicide last year, so am a bit edgy on being depressed and lost.

All my life I have felt as if I "Didn't belong"!!!
And in some cases still have that feeling today, but not as bad....

Just out of curiosity I did a search on my GPS for "places of worship" and 30 came up within a 2 mile radius of my house. I did the same for gas stations and found that there are 13 within a 2 mile radius.

Sorta the same here; Calif. is supposedly not in the bible belt but in my old age, I managed to strand myself in a conservative, churchy area of it; wherein the only topics of conversation in my age group are grandkids, golf and Gunsmoke.

67 and love being the odd one living alone and not doing what others and society says I should do. I'm not missing anything as long as I remain positive about life. Even with this nasty stage 4 cancer I'm fighting......... there's always something to do out here.
