Ever feel like you walked into a song?

A Quiet American
Hiking in the North Georgia mountains when my kids were younger, we came on a waterfall that spilled into a calm pool… water lapped against the rocks on the shore and tiny lavender butterflies fluttered like tiny ballerinas….

I felt like I walked into a John Denver song!

ever felt like you walked into a song?

That mountain hike certainly sounds like Annie's Song.
My schoolfriend married an American whilst she was working on secondment in New York, her husband, a surgeon no less, came from Georgia and when he retired they settled in Savannah. My wife & I visited them many times. I have many amusing tale of a Brit in Georgia.

The first of Vivaldi's Autumn pieces from The Four Seasons immediately brings up memories of traveling in the mountains of Vermont or New Hampshire under a perfectly-blue sky with the trees at their autumn-glory best (about the first 3.5 min on the clip)
