Ever get attacked by tumbleweeds?

We have tumbleweeds by me, sometimes on a windy blustery day, they can roll into your car while driving, seen some being dragged underneath before. There's been times when they'll stack up against out back yard fence, but the good thing is, most of them leave with the wind, same way they get there. Sometimes people where I used to work were sent outside to pick up trash on the company grounds, some of them would just put one tumbleweed in a large black trash bag, and walk around doing nothing else...looked like they were busy, lol.
 
Aliens attack was my first thought, too. Have never encountered a full-on offensive by the things but enjoyed their ramblings along and across the road . . .
