Ever get "The Finger" given to you for whatever?

A young man gave me the finger because I signaled my turn apparently too late.

So I turned the car around and tailed him for about ten blocks. He finally pulled into a Gas Station and stopped. I pulled right up to his window.

Me: "Got something you want to say to me Braveheart?"

Guy: (sheepishly) No.

Me: "I figured.

My wife was with me in the car and told me I was unhinged for what I did. Whatever. I scared the crap out of the guy. He'll think twice about flipping the bird at a random stranger again.

I've probably been given it more than I realized but don't recall getting it . I've given it a few times when it was fitting, too. I agree with Don M. that now a days it could be extra dangerous. So I will keep on muttering to myself. I'd like to stay alive as long as I can.

I was given "The Bird" today for sounding my car horn at a pedestrian who blindly walked onto the road in front of me whilst her head was down peering into her phone.

You know what they say, it's better to give than to receive. šŸ–•šŸ™‚

I know a working gentleman in the helping professions who reported that an elderly woman took her hands completely off her steering wheel to give him the middle-finger salute with both hands while driving!

It’s a ponderously vulgar gesture, and reflects the lack of civility and enormous amount of misplaced anger rampant in society. In ā€˜Merica, you’d better think twice about using it, because the recipient might up their game, and pull a handgun on you… šŸ™€

Great - -3 months. Let's try for 4 now. Of course, not driving works well. :D
I’m not driving at all or even meeting up with anyone. The only people I see are friends once in a while who get invited to our house. They are ā€˜far’ from ā€˜little mothers’ so no need for any finger gestures. šŸ˜‚ lol

Striving for 4 months … 🤣

Agreed. Though for the first time ever, I did it when a young driver prolonged laying on his horn because he was annoyed we were going the speed limit. I was the passenger. He kept it going even though we’d pulled into a store parking lot.

Got pulled over by an officer one time, speed trap, we were going the correct speed ,we were going to pick up some people in a small town, in an unmarked car, had the warrants setting right next to me, rolled down my window, looked at his name tag, it was the same name as on the top warrant, we identified ourselfs, he cussed, and gave me the finger, put the cuffs on him, just another day.

That's quite a story! Were you arresting an officer (sounds like it)? If so, was he from another district or precinct or something?

About every five minutes when driving semi in town
Just considered it a finger wave
Knowing most folks don't realize it takes awhile to slow a big rig down, and even longer to get speed up from a dead stop
