Ever Have a Pet Just Stop Eating a Food They Had Been Fine With?

Yes. She stopped eating pate before she was out of the kitten stage. So I tried different varieties. At first she liked the Friskies Shreds and Meaty Bits. Then she started turning her nose up to those unless she's extremely hungy. I tried Friskies Glazed Infused with crab meat. She loved that but after a while they jacked up the price, now I can't find that variety on Amazon or Chewy.

Her favorites now are Fancy Feast Petites Ocean Whitefish Entree, Seared Salmon Entree and Temptations Chicken Flavored treats. She'll also eat Friskies Indoor variety of food but not as heartily as the Fancy Feast.
She's one pampered girl! 🤗

You may have a bad batch of food.

Once I bought a case of Friskies (all the same flavor) & not one of the cats would eat it. I check the batch code & all the cans matched. I gave them a same flavor from another batch & they ate it.

I called Friskies & told them I thought I had a bad batch. I gave them the batch code & they sent me coupons to cover the loss. I asked them if they wanted those back & they said no. If my cats wouldn't eat it & it was bad, I didn't want to feed it to others so it was pitched.
I certainly think that could happen. The grey un-neutered newer one is eating the Iams. So I'll use it up but I guess I'm sticking with the Purina One for the others.

@Remy - Maybe an inexpensive option would be to buy or save up chicken and beef bones and boil them to make broth. And if you want, you could warm some up (if you've had it in the fridge) and add dry food to it, then let it sit til the kibble soaks up some of the broth and gets soft.

(store-bought broth has too much salt in it, and herbs they don't like)
That's an idea, but I don't eat meat so I wouldn't cook those.

Try soaking the kibble in plain hot water for 20 minutes or so, to soften it up before taking it out to them. I think probably one or more of your feral friends has missing or broken teeth or an infection in their mouth. Nothing you can do about that besides keep them healthy as possible otherwise.

Oh! Also, respiratory disease (common in feral cats) makes it hard for them to smell the food, and they won't eat it if they can't smell it. Warming it up with hot water makes it easier to smell.

Yesterday Deja looked at the food I gave her like WTH is this! 😾 It is Friskies Indoor variety, something she has eaten with no problems before. She hadn't had this flavor in a while though...Saucy Seafood Bake with greens. Well, I fixed her little butt. I put it back in the container and waited until she was good and hungry...begging for food. I put it in her bowl again and she ate every morsel. 😆 I want her to eat more of the canned food like the Indoor varieties to reduce the amount of plastic waste. Plus those cans cost less per ounce at Walmart than what the little plastic one serves do from Chewy or Amazon. @Remy

Sounds to me like she was putting on a little, feed me but I'm not that hungry act! :D That was smart to wait until she was actually hungry, then she ate it.

She was actually hungry when I first fed her. Here's how I know: She has a certain, loud (bordering on bodacious) meow when she's hungry. She'll go to the vinyl handle bag I keep her dry food in and act like she's looking for one of the containers to take out. She also reaches up with her paws on the dryer and/or the cabinet drawer while I'm fixing her food. She was just being finnicky but she's going to learn that I'll have none of that.
