An Amazon recommendation that showed up in my feed. Seriously??? Snail Mucin ?🤮 “97.5% concentration of snail extract” That’s…uh…that’s quite a selling point. 🤢

In France, during my student days, I did try a plateful of l'escargot.
You need copious amounts of alcohol though.
As a kid I remember eating snails only the were called winkles,
but were actually sea snails. They looked like something that
kids pick from their nose!

By the label on the bottle you pictured in your thread there is nothing about human skin repair. It specifically says "...snail repair cream". I have often found Asian language translations into English to be vague if not completely incomprehensible at times.

So I would guess the manufacturer is not referring to human skin repair, but to snail repair instead. And, for that I wouldn't pay $16.00.:ROFLMAO:

I know a guy here in Toronto who is originally from Hong Kong, who has a thriving business. He writes English language instructions and advertising materials for Chinese companies, using every day English wordings. He now employs 3 other HK educated U of T business students, to keep up with the demand for his output. He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese as well as speaking English like some body who was born in Canada. Imagine that ? JImB.

I have heard of this and have seen facial masks with snail extract. No idea if it’s any good.
My guess is, if it works, it’s because it holds moisture in the skin.

Right now I have some in my cupboard. After reading so many positive reviews, I ordered it from Amazon. It feels very soft. Does it too anything? I don’t know as I think my skin is beyond repair. Most of my favourite creams or products are from Korea or Japan.

Yes, I've heard of it. No, thanks. I stopped buying exotic and/or expense skin care products ages ago. They come with a lot of hype and never live up to the claims. A waste of money. I use natural organic oils to care for my skin.

Yes. But, whoever claimed that Canadians speak English? I for one can barely understand a word they say. It sounds more like a mix between English and French. ;)

I need to censor myself better. As I've aged I seem to have gone from Dad humor to something like a geriatric Eddie Deezen with no filter. As George might say, oh my!

Are you old enough to remember Peter Jennings the long time TV news anchor on ABC? He was a Canadian . How about Lorne Green on Bonanza, or Morely Safer on 60 Minutes, or Dan Ackyroyd of the Blues Brothers ? Or famous actors like Christopher Plummer, Donald Sutherland, Keifer Sutherland, William Shatner, John Candy, and the list goes on. Cock a snoot.
